As organizations face accelerating skills gaps and shifting workforce expectations, building organizational capability has never been more critical.
Mindtools Kineo has today outlined a major step in its global innovation strategy with the launch of its
AI Innovation Hub. This global centre of excellence is designed to put responsible, scalable artificial intelligence at the heart of creating, testing and delivering workplace performance solutions worldwide.
Based in LATAM, the Hub has a global remit to drive AI-powered product development, experimentation, and rollout across markets and sectors. The region’s fast-paced innovation environment, strong AI maturity, and deep cross-functional expertise makes it an ideal launchpad for rapid testing, learning, and iteration.
Led by Rodrigo Bolaños, Executive Director of Global AI Strategy, it will act as a bridge between local innovation and global implementation, turning successful regional pilots into solutions that can scale across markets and sectors.
Shabnam Shahani, CEO of Mindtools Kineo says:
‘At Mindtools Kineo, we exist to help organizations stay capable, confident, and ready for whatever comes next. The AI Innovation Hub brings that ambition to life.
‘By embedding AI into how we design, test, and evolve our learning experiences, we are strengthening our ability to deliver workplace skills development that is intelligent, measurable, and grounded in real behavioural change. This is innovation with purpose, built to support people, performance, and long-term organizational growth.’
A launchpad for responsible, scalable AI innovation
The AI Innovation Hub will focus on driving the AI product and innovation agenda across Mindtools Kineo, translating user needs into high-impact, scalable solutions that deliver enhanced learning outcomes. Solutions will be developed in close partnership with global teams and adapted for diverse markets before being deployed worldwide.
Central to the Hub’s remit is the development of a high-performing, cross-functional AI solutions team with expertise spanning data science, product, content, and engineering. This team will work closely with existing Product, Technology, Learning Science, and Customer Success teams to co-create intelligent learning agents, diagnostic tools, adaptive learning experiences, and other AI-driven features aligned with Mindtools Kineo’s strategic product goals.
Responsible AI is foundational to the Hub’s approach. All initiatives will operate within clear ethical, regulatory, and commercial frameworks, adhering to global standards for privacy and governance. The Hub will also play an active role in shaping frameworks for AI governance and value measurement to ensure innovation remains credible, compliant, and human-led.
Rodrigo Bolaños, Executive Director of Global AI Strategy at Mindtools Kineo says:
‘For the first time, we have the technology to fundamentally reshape the learning experience – making it more personal, more adaptive, and more closely tied to real business outcomes.
‘The AI Innovation Hub is where we’ll explore that opportunity: listening deeply to our customers and the market, testing bold ideas, and rapidly evolving solutions that can scale globally. Our focus is innovation that delivers better learning, stronger performance, and impact you can measure.’
