Mindtools and Kineo are proud to have been shortlisted in four categories at the prestigious 2025 Learning Technologies Awards.
The nominations highlight our evidence-based approach to designing learning solutions and innovative learning technologies that deliver measurable impact across both commercial and public sectors.
Mindtools has been shortlisted for the following awards:
Best use of blended learning – commercial sector (Deloitte UK)
This nomination celebrates Coaching Skills for Effective Conversations, a blended learning programme co-created with Deloitte. The initiative equips every employee, regardless of grade, with essential coaching skills such as active listening, questioning, and building trust. By embedding these skills across the organisation, Deloitte has strengthened professional conversations, improved collaboration, and enhanced its coaching culture.
Excellence in the design of learning content – public & non-profit sector (UK Environment Agency)
In partnership with the Environment Agency, Mindtools developed Biosecurity Basics: Stop the Spread. This digital learning intervention is designed to address the inconsistent application of biosecurity practices across teams. Rooted in scoping sessions, focus groups and an academic evidence base, the programme goes beyond awareness-raising to drive lasting behavioural change. With invasive non-native species costing the UK economy an estimated £1.9 billion annually, this intervention supports the Agency’s mission to protect the natural environment.
Kineo has been shortlisted for the following two awards:
Best learning platform implementation (Ministry of Justice)
This is a collaboration between the UK Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Sopra Steria (MOJ’s service provider), and Kineo (Sopra Steria’s Totara platform partner). It has been shortlisted for the successful implementation of an upgraded Totara LMS that meets the MoJ’s complex learning needs. With better UI/UX, improved stability during peak usage, advanced functionality, and smarter tools, learners can more effectively plan their development, and managers and learning professionals can access the data they need for planning and scoping.
Best use of learning technologies to ensure compliance with external regulations or internal policies to manage organisational risk (YPF)
YPF partnered with Kineo on this comprehensive safety training program of 10 AI-enabled eLearning modules designed to drive preventive behaviors. The program integrates xAPI tracking, real-time learning analytics, and confidence measurement to identify risks, knowledge gaps, and behavioral patterns and is powered by a Real Time Learning Intelligence Center (RTILC). This enables leaders to anticipate risks and take preventive action.
Ross Garner, Chief Learning Officer at Mindtools and Kineo, said:
“We are delighted to see teams and partners from across Mindtools and Kineo recognised with these nominations. Each reflects our commitment to combining research-led design with creativity and innovative technology to deliver learning experiences that truly change behaviour and build better workplaces.”
The winners of the Learning Technologies Awards 2025 will be announced at a gala ceremony in London on 12 November.
