What does work-life balance mean to you? Is it a straightforward choice between the number of hours you spend at work or at home, or do other factors come into play?
In essence, if you have enough time to enjoy your personal interests and to be happy and engaged with your work, then you have achieved work-life balance. It’s hugely subjective and only you will know what is the right balance for you. So, if you love your work and spend more time pursuing that than outside interests, then “fill your boots!”
However you want to spend your time, it is important that that you try to find the balance that works for you. If you don’t feel in control of your time, or that one side of your life is overwhelming another, it can lead to unhappiness and stress.
