    In my opinion, top performers see solutions and rather than problems. They are always thinking ahead and not content to just complain or tell you what is wrong. Problem-thinkers are draining on time and morale. Solution-thinkers are a bright spot!

    I’d say that enough freedom makes many talented people tick. Holding them too tightly…like watching every little move – that’ll just chase them off. If you trust me enough to give me the job then trust me enough to actually do the job too.

      Hi Rebel, I agree wholeheartedly! Empowerment is a huge motivator and it allows people to really shine. A lot of managers are reluctant to delegate (or don’t know how to do it properly and end up micromanaging!) I think if you value your staff then you owe it to them to learn how to delegate effectively and with that comes knowing you can trust your people to get the job done.
