Middle management to me is one of those stages that you have to pass through on your way up. It's not a comfortable stage, but one where you learn a lot of the stuff you need to know in order to move up.
As a middle manager in the organization, i used to perform as reliever and do the job in case a team member failed to act because of an urgent situation that needs him/her to absent. I really want to know the job description and regular compliance of every subordinate so that my office would not become a problem in the organization.
